Although Jack Jackson lectures at world trade centres, exhibition halls
and theatres around the world he is equally happy when talking to
clubs, colleges and schools. Slide presentations can be arranged to
last between one and two-hours.
Lectures open to the general public have included those at: ‘The
Exeter Festival', at the Barnfield Theatre, ‘The Daily Telegraph
Adventure Travel and Sports Show', now at London Olympia,
'Destinations' at London Olympia, 'The London International Dive
Show', now at the ExCel Centre in London Docklands, 'Dive', at the
NEC, Birmingham, 'Dive Scotland' at the Scottish Exhibition and
Conference Centre in Glasgow, the 'Photography in the Landscape'
conference, at The Business Learning Centre, Lauder College,
Dunfermline, Fife and 'Visions 2001' at Imperial College.

ADVENTURE FOR A LIVING:
Himalayan Mountaineering, Greenland Dog Sledging, Desert crossings
of the Sahara including the Tassili Frescoes and the Ténéré Salt
Caravans, Sudan, the Arabian Empty Quarter, Tribal People (including
scarification) and the underwater world. This lecture covers Africa,
Asia, the Middle and Far East, Greenland and Iceland.
ARABIA FELIX - THE YEMEN:
27 years of travel to the deserts, historical sites and mountains of
North and South Yemen with its spectacular architecture and tribal
people. This lecture includes historical sites that very few westerners'
have visited in modern times including Ma'in, ancient Qarnaw.
THE SUDAN:
Many years of travels in the Sudan from the animist tribes in the
centre, south and southwest to the Arab nomads and historical sites in
the northern desert before the current civil war.
DESERT TRAVEL:
Travels in the Sahara Desert including the Tassili Frescoes, the
Ténéré Salt Caravans, Aïr Mountains, Timbuktu, the Rub' al Khali
(Arabian Empty Quarter), Sudan, Afghanistan and Iran using various
four-wheel drive vehicles.
TRAVELS IN MALAYSIA, BORNEO, THE PHILIPPINES AND
THAILAND:
Tropical scenery, tribal peoples, The world's largest flower, Orang-
utans, Proboscis Monkeys, Swiftlets nests, Cocoa, nesting turtles,
wonderful beaches and magnificent underwater vistas.
THE COLOURFUL WORLD UNDERWATER:
Sharks, shipwrecks, corals, turtles, dolphins, fish and invertebrates in
colourful close up.
